Last updated:

Being famous doesn’t mean you are immune to anxiety or to the aches and pains of exercise, age and illness. In fact, celebrities tend to work hard to stay in shape, spend hours on the red carpet in uncomfortable shoes and spend lots of time in stressful, high profile situations so they need lots of wellness aids. Many find the support they need in natural hemp and cannabis derived products such as CBD oil.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio is a well known Brazilian supermodel and actress. She played Mark Walburg’s wife in the Daddy’s Home film franchise and walked the runway a remarkable 17 times as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. In fact, Victoria’s Secret was so pleased with her that they made her the first spokeswoman for their Pink line when they launched it. It is no secret that the lifestyle of a working actress and model takes a toll on the body and requires you to be in peak physical condition at all times. To help her reduce anxiety and get a full eight hours of sleep before a big job she relies on CBD oil. She says it has the added benefit of helping her aching muscles while she is using it as a sleep aid and it enhances her overall sense of well being. She often sings the praises of CBD oil to the press and is considered one of the most famous celebrity users in the world.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is a serious actress and an outspoken advocate for charities such as St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. But she has had one of her biggest impacts as a trendsetter. She is known for influencing a generation of haircuts and fashion choices but she has also had an impact on the health and wellness industry. She promotes mindfulness and me time as part of a daily routine that includes cardio, yoga and meditation. Recently she has also spoken up on the benefits of restoring the body with infrared saunas and healthy foods. But despite her healthy lifestyle and incredibly ageless good looks, she still suffers from occasional pain, stress and anxiety. For those conditions she turns to CBD oil. She notes that CBD has all of the benefits of marijuana without getting high and it works remarkably well. We won’t be surprised if she starts a CBD oil trend among her followers when she makes glowing comments like that!

Melissa Ethridge

Medical marijuana played a vital role in her cancer recovery and this experience lead her on a crusade to help other patients get access to it during cancer treatments. Over time she started growing her own cannabis at Etheridge Farms in California and using her advocacy skills to promote legalization in all fifty states. Until that happens she plans to get more THC free CBD products out into the mass market since it is sellable is every state and contains many healthful benefits. She is quick to point out that cabinnoids were on pharmacy shelves until they were outlawed 70 years ago and replaced by chemical drugs. She intends to grow medical marijuana and promote the medicinal value of CBD until it is mainstream practice again.

Michael J. Fox

Michael J. Fox is famous for movies like Back to the Future and television shows like Spin City. But his most important work has been bringing awareness and research funding to Parkinson Disease foundations. He was diagnosed with the disease at the young age of 29 and quickly discovered that medical marijuana (currently legal in only 33 states) and CBD oil was the most effective treatment for the disease available. Since then the Michael J. Fox Foundation has actively promoted several bills in the US House and Senate designed to tear down research barriers, increase funding and promote legal scientific investigation on the medical uses of cannabinoids and CBD. He is a strong advocate for CBD and living proof that it works very well on Parkinson’s Disease.

Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman, at age 80,  is America’s favorite narrator and an award winning actor as well as a vocal advocate for plant based medicine. After surviving a car accident in 2008 that required the jaws of life to remove him from the vehicle and numerous surgeries on his arm and hand, he was left in chronic pain from the nerve damage. Nerve pain is notoriously hard to treat and doesn’t usually respond well to medications. Freeman has been very outspoken about the relief that cabinniods has given him when nothing else has worked.

However, it is hard to work, parent and do all of the things women must do in a week if you are high. So she decided to delve into the medical marijuana business and make pain relieving products for women containing the medicinal properties of cabinnoids that would not get women high. She reached out to edible maker Maya Elizabeth to help her and Whoopi&Maya was born. They make chocolate, bath salts and tinctures to get women through tough menstrual cycles. Currently their products are only available in California and Colorado because of federal legal restrictions on interstate commerce in products containing CBD or THC. But women everywhere are hoping that will change when the federal laws catch up with medicinal marijuana laws in each state since products like this are here to stay!

She has been very vocal about her need to sleep on planes and how severely sleep deprivation effects her. To relax and get some shut eye on planes she turns to sublingual CBD oil. It has no known side effects, doesn’t get you high and therefore lead to a hangover and it is highly effective. Because CBD works on the endocannabinoid system of the body that helps you maintain a sense of balance and stability, otherwise known as homeostasis, it has a calming and anti anxiety effect which naturally promotes sleep. Reachers believe there are other reasons CBD can cure insomnia bet the clinical trials are incomplete at this time. She suffered from extreme and debilitating nausea known as hyperemesis gravidarum. Rather than end up in the hospital from dehydration, she used broad spectrum CBD edibles to quell her nausea and stay hydrated. All of their products are derived from hemp and therefore THC free, making them safer for mom and baby.

In both an infomercial and a music video he makes the claim that it will reduce anxiety and make you feel better overall but he does not shy away from the THC content and readily admits it will also make you high as well. However, he points out that it is a modern way to get high, no rolling a joint required and so discreet that you can take a hit in front of your mom and she won’t even notice. There is no scientific evidence to back up his claim that Wu Goo will cure cancer but the THC content might very well help many cancer patients quell nausea and increase their appetite during treatment.

As it becomes more and more mainstream and widely available, more and more people are likely to do the same. Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson knows first hand that boxing for a living can have lasting effects on the brain. Many soldiers, NFL players, boxers and other athletes suffer from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) brought on by concussions and other brain injuries. There is currently no treatment for CTE and the behavioral changes, physical disabilities and memory loss associated with it. However, according to a medical journal published in 2018 titled “Cannabis Therapeutics and the Future of Neurology” cannabis has been hound to repair the “neuronal demise” associated with a traumatic brain injury. Because of evidence like this, Tyson has sunk his fortune into a cannabis farm known as The Ranch and is using the farm to fuel research in CTE and its side effects. Many medical practitioners associated with The Ranch hope that the healing properties in CBD and THC can help the brain heal itself and if not, at least mitigate the resulting side effects of CTE such as anger, insomnia, tinnitus and depression. Hopefully the financial success of Tyson’s burgeoning cannabis empire in the commercial market will effectively accelerate the medical research and create effect treatments for CTE sufferers sooner rather than later!
